The sea wall offers plenty of space to run and zigzag without getting in anyone\u2019s way. There\u2019s also a wonderful view of the Normandy Bridge. When you reach the lock, if you\u2019re lucky, watching the lock gates open can be quite a spectacle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Play hide-and-seek in the Jardin des Personnalit\u00e9s<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

An even bigger playground, the Jardin des Personnalit\u00e9s offers endless possibilities. Follow the winding paths, sing a little song in the bandstand, hide behind the busts of famous people, cross the bridge and try to make as little noise as possible in the hope of spotting the little frogs. It\u2019s also the perfect place for a peaceful picnic, and the beach is just a short walk away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Build sandcastles and look for shrimp<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Yes, Honfleur is also famous for its shrimp! Head to the beach at low tide and see if you can spot some in the pools left behind by the sea. And if the shrimp are hiding, there are always the classics: making sandcastles or spelling out your name with seashells, depending on your mood! This is probably Honfleur\u2019s best-hidden garden, even though it\u2019s just a stone\u2019s throw from the Vieux Bassin. To find your way in, you\u2019ll need to be curious and dare to explore the little passageways\u2026 In fact, it\u2019s fairly well signposted, but it\u2019s easy to walk straight past without noticing it! Once inside, you\u2019ll discover a peaceful little haven.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

6. Climb up to Mont-Joli<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Of course, you\u2019ll need to be up for a walk \u2014 and it\u2019s uphill, too! But once you\u2019ve tackled the steep path, you\u2019ll be rewarded with a splendid view over the town. If you continue as far as the C\u00f4te de Gr\u00e2ce, you\u2019ll be able to admire the whole estuary. The effort is well worth it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You don\u2019t have to wait for a rainy day to visit the media library. It\u2019s always welcoming and lively.
